We are Northwest Connecticut's premiere gouldian finch breeder. We have worked with birds for over ten years. Over 5 years ago we started breeding gouldian finches. All of our birds are raised and cared for onsite.

The gouldian finch is one of the prettiest birds in the world. There are three main color morphs of the gouldian finch: red-head, black-head, and the yellow-head (sometimes referred to as the orange head). These birds all have a green back.

Over the years mutations have come about, the yellow back gouldian has been around for some time and is considered a strong color.  The blue back and silver mutations are considered weak mutations however some breeders are making great progress with these two colors.

Gouldian finches need to be kept in pairs - they suffer when alone. These birds do not do well as a single, there must be at least two or more of either sex to have a happy bird.  They live in large flocks in the wild.
